Jim Fern was born on Long Island New York, graduated high school early in 1982, and moved to Virginia to work as a background inker for comic book artist Mike Roy on the comic book Buck Rogers in the 21st Century for Western Publishing. From there, doors were opened at Marvel and DC for Jim as an inker, then he progressively moved into becoming a penciler. Jim has worked on characters such as Spider-Man, Batman, and Superman. Co-creator and artist of Scarlett the Vampire Redeemer as well as Crossing Midnight, both published by DC Comics. Jim's recent work has been on Fables: Werewolves of the Heartland, Badger Returns (please edit title if I have it wrong), and DC Comic's Convergence: World's Finest.
